These are Cornish cross baby chicks, the typical meat bird. (meaning a mix of male and females). This is the meat bird that we raise on our farm, and will be ready for butchering in 8-9 weeks. They grow very quickly thanks to a very efficient feed conversion.
These will be 1-2 day old baby chickens, which will need 3 weeks of brooder time before it is ready for the outside. The brooder is a protected and heated environment, allowing the baby chick to get off to a good start.
Choose the date you want to pickup your baby chicks. We offer 5 different dates for 2023. We know the week we will receive the chicks, but then will call and/or email you ahead of time once we know the day we will have them available for pickup at the farm.
We do ask that you be on time for your pickup, as we are dealing with a live animals and do not want to cause it harm by having a delay in pickup.
These baby meat chickens are not vaccinated or medicated in any way. They will need feed, water and warmth right away when you get them home.
