Pasture-Raised Chicken
This isn’t the “free-range” you see on a grocery label, where “access to the outdoors” can mean one door cracked open in a crowded barn. Our birds are genuinely out on grass, and we move their shelters daily so they wake up on a clean bed of pasture each morning. Compare that to industrial poultry — confined, packed tight, fed antibiotic-laced feed just to survive — and you’ll see why we believe there’s a better way.
The Right Feed
Grass alone isn’t a complete diet for our chickens, so we give free access to a Non-GMO, soy-free ration milled locally in Pennsylvania. But a good part of what they eat, they find themselves out in the grass. Bug, worms, grasses and clovers, as the saying goes “You are what you eat.” You will taste the difference in our chicken, and that difference starts with their diet.
What You'll Find Here

Why Choose Freedom Valley Farm
“Pasture-raised” gets stamped on a lot of labels that don’t mean much. On our farm it’s literal — the birds are moved to fresh grass daily and we use non-GMO + soy free feed, and we say no to antibiotics, vaccines and added hormones. We control the quality from start to finish. We’re a real family doing this by hand, not a label on a box.
