Hey there!

In case we haven’t met or you are new to our family of customers, my name is Gina and I’m the matriarch of the Hamby farm family, aka Ryan’s mom 🙂

As we’ve wrapped up another bountiful year here at Freedom Valley Farm, we can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve shared with you in 2024! Throughout this post, we are excited to tell you about some of our highlights from last year, and the new ways our farm is striving towards greater convenience and savings for our customers in 2025. We’re even going to let you in on an unexpected new venture we’ve taken that might just have you saying, “wow, that’s cool”!

So, please join me as I reflect on our past year and unveil what’s on the horizon for our family farm!

Without question, the most joyous happening in 2024 occurred one beautiful Saturday in May. As I readied myself for the happy tears sure to fall in a few short moments, I recalled how it seemed only yesterday that Ryan was a curly headed, adorable little boy full of smiles, big dreams and unending, hopeful ambition. And now, at 27 years young, he was ready to embark on the journey of his lifetime. Having selflessly dedicated himself for years to growing our family farm business and having waited patiently for that special young lady, his dream was finally coming true.

On May 11th, Freedom Valley Farm served as a wedding venue, witnessing the joyous occasion of Ryan proudly becoming husband to his beautiful bride, Grace Catherine. As a mother, there’s nothing quite so fulfilling as seeing your son find someone who will walk beside him through life’s adventures while sharing laughter, love and unwavering support of one another. I am profoundly grateful for the wonderful young lady my son married; her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit not only enriches the lives of those around her but also makes Grace not just a wonderful partner in life and the farm business, but truly Ryan’s better half.

The giddiness of their young love sparked a summer of adventures for Ryan and Grace. As parents of the happy couple, Bill and I experienced contentment and purpose marking our hearts as we helped tend the farm and livestock, enjoying days spent nurturing the land and animals while the newlyweds enjoyed making memories.

Ryan and Grace kicked off their journey together with a sun-soaked honeymoon in Punta Cana. In July, they found themselves on a mission trip to Mexico, pouring their hearts into helping others, working alongside a group from Community Christian Church. September took them to Paris for the Paralympics, where they cheered on Grace’s sister, Jessica, as she proudly brought home two gold medals for Team USA in swimming. And in November, the adventure loving couple visited Universal Studios in Orlando, where Ryan faced his greatest challenge yet—roller coasters! Armed with love and a determined spirit, he said, “I may be scared of roller coasters, but I’ll ride anything that makes Grace smile… as long as I can hold her hand and scream like a little baby!”

Now, you may ask yourself, what’s coming in 2025 that I might find more convenient and cost effective???

At Freedom Valley Farm, we are excited to announce our plans to start a shipping program to better serve our valued customers along the East Coast. We love seeing our customers face to face during farm pickups, but understand that people have different schedules and may not live near our farm, so we want to better serve everyone by offering shipping straight to your door. We will keep you updated on when you can expect this as an option!

Additionally for 2025, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation for your continued support by introducing an exciting new special called “The Trifecta Discount”. To receive this exclusive savings, simply purchase all three of our grass-fed meat options—beef, chicken, and pork—in bulk and at the same time. Many of you have been asking about when you can place an order for our bulk buys. This would be for ordering something like like a quarter cow or 12 fresh whole chickens. We plan to release our bulk buys catalog in late February or early March and “The Trifecta Discount” along with it. This offer makes it easier than ever to enjoy our high-quality, sustainably raised products while saving money! We look forward to serving you and helping you fill your freezers with nourishing food while honoring your patronage. Stay tuned for more details!

Now for the…”wow, that’s cool” part of our life updates😁

In December, Grace and Ryan capped off 2024 with one final adventure by transforming a blank canvas of a condo into their very first AirBnB rental in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Paying tribute to Freedom Valley Farm, they decorated the space with a charming Highlands cattle theme. We’re thrilled to introduce you to the “The Highlands” AirBnB, hosted by your farmers, Grace and Ryan.

In closing, we genuinely thank you for your support as we continue to make strides in our mission to provide you with the highest quality, natural and sustainably raised meats!
